Custom Design Process
In your private consultation with Karen, you will experience our exciting custom design process. The choices of fabric, color and style are all yours. Karen will take your ideas and thoughts and develop them into a sketch. At that moment, you will actually see the conceptualizing of your dream dress for the very first time. Next, a full set of custom measurements will be taken to ensure a perfect fit. Your design ideas and measurements will be translated into a wearable muslin pattern for your first fitting. This fitting stage is where changes can be made to the structure and the style of your gown. Then your chosen fabric will be cut to the exact specifications of your pattern and your detailing will be added along with your personal monogram. Karen will pull them all together into an exquisite, one-of-a-kind dream dress made exclusively for you with a meticulous fit accentuating your best features.
The Bespoke Guarantee
A "bespoke" gown is a one-of-a-kind gown, with the guarantee that a duplicate will never be made; a bespoke gown retires the pattern. Each Karen Hendrix Couture gown comes with a certificate of authenticity that certifies it was custom made by the original designer.
Given the wide range of fabrics that can be used for your gown and the wide range of detailing options, your only limits are your imagination. A client must determine a budget for her gown in advance so the designer can present acceptable options that are of the highest quality.
